Withdrawing from an Internship

If a student ends their internship before the official end date listed on their Handshake application, they will be required to repay the full amount of the internship scholarship received. If full repayment is not immediately possible, the student must meet with Financial Services to arrange a repayment plan before being eligible to re-enroll.

Withdrawing from an internship—especially if it is a graduation requirement—may impact a student's academic progress and graduation timeline. In such cases, students must consult with their academic advisor and financial aid counselor to adjust their academic plan accordingly.
